Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday | 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
2nd and 3rd Saturdays of the month | 8 a.m. - Noon

 

Wright County Compost and Recycling Facility is available for public drop-off of household hazardous waste, electronics, appliances, used tires, recyclables, and scrap metal. 

Guidelines

  1. Appointments are REQUIRED for hazardous materials. Schedule your drop-off appointmentQR Code Wright County Compost and Recycling
  2. Customers will need to unload themselves. Please bring help if needed.
  3. Consult the Compost & Recycling Facility Fee Schedule for current prices.
  4. All fluids must be in containers of 5 gallons or less. Oil drums are still acceptable if you are leaving the container at the facility.
  5. Only yard waste and brush from homeowners will be accepted.
  6. The facility does not accept from businesses, which include commercial, ag-business, and non-profit 

Wright County Compost & Recycling Important Update!

The Wright County Compost & Recycling Facility will be undergoing a facelift! Therefore, the current facility at 505 Co Rd 37 NE WILL BE CLOSED starting April 18, 2025, due to construction activity on site. Limited operations will resume April 29, 2025, at a temporary location at 5538 85th St. NW, Maple Lake, until the new building can be occupied.  During this transition and construction period, some services will not be available, which may change as space at the temporary location becomes available.  

When operations resume at the temporary location on or around April 29, the following items will NOT BE ACCEPTED: tires, scrap metal, appliances, electronics, batteries, Styrofoam, TVs, and large size or quantities of cardboard. 

Acceptable items will include household hazardous waste (paints, stains, and chemicals), curbside recycling, sharps, and yard waste.  Large quantities of cardboard will NOT be accepted due to limited space for operations.
