Fire
The City's paid on-call Fire Department pledges to protect all people, homes and businesses in the City. The Fire Department responds quickly and with highly trained personnel to fire and medical emergencies. The City maintains two fire stations and works cooperatively with adjacent communities as needed to provide the highest quality and most timely response possible.
Reserve Firefighters
Individuals interested in becoming Reserve Firefighters can submit an application which will be kept on file until the hiring process begins. Please complete the application below and submit to City Hall at 11800 Town Center Drive NE, St. Michael, MN 55376.
Reserve Firefighter Application
Currently the Fire Department is seeking applicants for the Explorer Program. The purpose of the Explorer Program is to provide experiences that help young people mature and prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. The program helps develop, train and prepare interested young persons for a career in full-time, volunteer or paid-on-call firefighting and emergency medical services. This includes providing basic types of assistance to the St. Michael Fire Department during and immediately after firefighting and emergency medical activities.
