Decks, Additions and Accessory Buildings

If you are submitting a permit for a deck, addition, or accessory building, you will be required to provide the following:

  • 2 sets of plans at 1/4" = 1 foot scale

  • 2 certificates of survey (we can get from your address file and if there is not a certificate of survey you will need to draw your own to scale showing all existing buildings) with the project being done drawn on it as much to scale as possible with all setbacks listed

  • Permit filled out with the signature and phone number of the homeowner or person doing work

  •  Properties on private septic systems must show the tanks, drain field, and well, and maintain required distances from structures (10’ from tanks and 20’ from drain field)
