Joint Powers Water Board
The Joint Powers Water Board (JPWB) manages the water system serving the cities of Albertville, Hanover, and St. Michael. The Board meets the fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Joint Powers Water Building (11100 50th Street NE - across from STMA High School).
Lead Service Line Inventory Reporting
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) requires all public water systems to submit a lead service line inventory in compliance with the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR).
The Inventory Must Include
- A location identifier for each service line
- The material of each service line
The Inventory Process Involved
- Mapping out all service lines in a community
- Determining which service lines contain lead
- Create a plan for removing and replacing lead pipes
The City of St. Michael has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at 763-497-3611. To complete the service line inventory our system researched maps, service line installation forms and responses from residents.
